A small cluster of houses at the water on the outer side of Flakstadøya, at the end of its road — and the start of the coastal walk to Nusfjord. Quiet in the way only road-ends are.
You reach it from the E10 by the side road via Sund — roughly twenty-five minutes from the house. Nesland has been a fishing hamlet for centuries; the path onward to Nusfjord is the old fishermen’s trail between the two, and it starts where the tarmac gives up.

From Nesland the coastal path follows the shoreline to Nusfjord — the better way to arrive there. Marked with red T’s, and clearest walked in this direction. The walk, on its own sheet.
